I am super obsessed with my latest electronic gadget, the braaaaaand new iPad air!
In spirit of this, I tried to think of every possible site that I could visit today, ya know, to catch up on my browsing. Mind you, that never included a news website or anything medical or really anything that fostered my knowledge of the world or life events. It mostly consisted of instagram, facebook, and my new brain teaser apps.
And then at some point today, I ended up on Lufthansa.
The Travel Bug
Call me crazy, but I caught the travel bug. And I'm getting antsy to plan my next trip. I thought it would be domestic, so we could do something on the cheap. Buuutt, then I recalled that my German pal Katerina (who so kindly hosted us on our last trip), booked some international flights for cheap through Lufthansa, so I thought I would check it out and see if there were any good deals.
And there it was...
An awesome deal from NYC to Milan, Italy. Direct flight. Round trip. For less than $600pp.
It's like the clouds parted and the God rays shown down on my brand new screen. So, now I've frantically begun searching the web for key words like "Italy", "Must see cities", and "7-10 day itineraries". And just a few short hours later, I cooked an Italian-themed meal, made a rough outline of a week in Italy, and updated Italian to my list of languages on Duolingo.
Just in case you're wondering, we may be doing a lil' something like this:
Pitttttsburgh > NYC > Milan > Florence > Rome > Venice > Milan > Pitttttsburgh
Once, I get the go ahead from my doc that these dates are open, the credit card will be getting its exercise for the day!
BOOM. Eck, who says boom?
I love 2014 already. Get your travel shoes on, webbies, because we're about to get all European travel blog 2.0 up in this hiz-ouse.
